We celebrated Liv's birthday with cake and ice cream with Grammy and Grandpa. I just knew she would love the cake, but she went right for the ice cream! Owen was very concerned that Liv had an entire piece of cake on her plate, and came over to "cut" it with his fork.

The birthday banner I made with Justin's help! Unlike Owen's we did not have to stay up until 1 am. I made it a little less intricate than Owen's, but it's still pretty. We had it up in time for her actual birthday! She loved to touch it!

The butterfly cake my mom and I made for Liv. Out of the two cakes I have made for Owen, this was definitely the less stressful! We decorated with cookie cutter stencils filled in with sprinkles. It was pretty cute, and matched the plates and napkins, which had butterflies on them too!

I am not sure what happened. Everything was going along fine, but then Liv just erupted! I don't know if she got bothered by Owen coming over to the high chair, or if she got an ice cream headache, but she just lost it! We pulled her out of the chair and she still screamed. All the while, my dad is still video taping, and Justin somehow tripped over the exersaucer, which scared Owen and he burst out crying too!
It was very sad, because I really thought we would get some great pics of her stuffing her face, but she ended up sitting on my dad's lap finishing her cake like a little lady. :)

Not to worry, Liv recovered and enjoyed opening her presents. Which brings me to this; You know it's a good birthday when you end up wearing only your tights, a bib, a bow in your hair, and you're riding a pony!
