Ok...so I had a bright idea to make a banner for Owen's birthday. I probably should have started making it a few days before his party, but alas, I didn't. Justin stayed up with me until 1 a.m. helping me put it together. It turned out great!

I invited Owen's friend, Sullivan to come over for cake and ice cream with us and my parents who had come to visit. Sullivan picked out this Diego card that sang. They both loved it and ran around dancing for a couple of minutes!

mmmmm....ice cream!

Things change so much in a year. Last year, Owen had no idea about birthdays or blowing out candles. Now, he can tell people he is two, and had no problem opening up his presents!

My mom and I made this fish cake for Owen. I'm glad she was here to help. I get frustrated with the frosting. It was still delicous, and of course, Owen loved eating it, so that's all that matters!
We had a great day, and Owen is still talking about blowing out his candles!
